Role overview
We’re looking for a 3D Artist with a genuine interest in rail environments and a strong eye for realistic form, proportion, and materials, as these are essential. You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload, communicating clearly with the team, and delivering high-quality, game-ready assets to schedule.
As a growing studio, we value professionalism and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, collaborative, adaptable and always looking to improve their own work and the way we work together.
Responsibilities
- Create efficient, high-quality, optimised game-ready assets for PC and Console within defined technical limits.
- Integrate assets into Unreal Engine 4/5, including:
- Material setup
- Collision and LOD creation
- Authoring masks for colour variation, break-up, emissive elements, and weathering
- Communicate regularly with teammates and contribute effectively as part of a remote team.
- Work to agreed deadlines while maintaining organised backups and clean, reliable workflows.
- Self-driven continued professional development, keeping up to date with relevant tools and techniques.
Your portfolio should demonstrate:
- A solid understanding of scale, form, proportion, and clean topology.
- The ability to research and interpret reference material, extracting relevant technical and visual information.
- Proficiency in at least one major 3D package (3ds Max or Blender).
- Experience creating realistic textures and materials using Substance Painter and Photoshop.
- Experience working in UE4/UE5 using a PBR pipeline and a practical, production-focused workflow
