About this Product

Explore the complexities of Glasgow commuting with Rivet Partners’ Suburban Glasgow Northwest route!

Formed in 1960 as an amalgamation of various Victorian-era railways in the Glasgow area, the current North Clyde Line runs from Edinburgh Waverley to Helensburgh Central, with branches to Springburn, Balloch and Milngavie. Originally home to the venerable Class 303, or “blue trains”, the current iteration of the route showcases a wide variety of stock, including many specials – often steam hauled – heading for the West Highland Line.

West of Glasgow, the line splits just west of Partick, with one route taking a northerly course through the Glasgow suburbs of Anniesland and Knightswood, before merging with the southerly line in the Clydebank district of Dalmuir. The southerly course passes through the traditional industrial heartland of the Clyde Valley. After Clydebank the route becomes distinctly rural, before ending in the foothills of the Highlands at Helensburgh.

Thanks to Rivet Games and Partners, you can now delve into this historic network and take on passenger services aboard diesel and electric traction alike with Suburban Glasgow Northwest: Springburn – Helensburgh!

About this Product

A hard-working classic comes to life in Train Sim World 2 with the stunning DB BR 204 diesel locomotive!

In the 1950s, the Deutsche Reichsbahn were keen to get dieselisation underway, replacing steam locomotives with a modern fleet of standardised locomotives, that between all variants could cover any duty required on the network. Many locomotive designs started cropping up, including the V60, V90 and V164, however none managed to fill the 1,000 horsepower (746 kW) market, and so a further design was established.

IMPORTANT: This is the version for Train Sim World 2! If you want to buy the DB BR 204 for Train Sim World 2020 (the previous Train Sim World version), please use this version here: DB BR 204 for Train Sim World 2020

If you already own the DB BR 204 for Train Sim World 2020 and bought Train Sim World 2, you don’t need to buy the product again, it will be added to your TSW 2 with Preserved Collection!

Named the “V100”, the first of this new 1,000 horsepower locomotive was built in 1966 (following the production of two prototypes) and the result was a double-ended locomotive with the cab situated in the middle, allowing for seamless operation in either direction. In all, over 860 of these locomotives would be built, and they were put to use on all medium-weight freight traffic throughout East Germany.

Many locomotives were rebuilt during their lifespan in order to excel at more specific duties, one such in particular was retrofitted with a 1,475 horsepower (1100 kW) engine, and these were classified as the DR Class 114. With the Reunification of Germany and the merger of Deutsche Reichsbahn and Deutsche Bundesbahn, these locomotives were reclassified once again to become the DB BR 204 and started to see more widespread use, particularly as shunting locomotives.

Now, you can experience the classic DB BR 204 for yourself, as it has been authentically brought to life in Train Sim World!

Please note: Main-Spessart Bahn: Aschaffenburg – Gemünden is required, as a separate purchase, in order to utilise the content featured in this add-on.

I really like it and on my system, it’s by far the smoothest running route in the whole franchise. I’d rather be subjected to electric shocks than all that stuttering, which is almost completely absent from this route (on my modest hardware).

~ mjack35

Great short route, lots of detail, and the Class 483 is pure train-driving joy! Stations and running rail are well-detailed, as are the houses and environment which abut the platforms. As long as one understands that the route is short (~8.5 miles long), and measures expectations accordingly, this is a fantastic and fun route to purchase.

The only feedback that I have to offer is the quality of the water. The textures / appearance is very redundant, and appears very mechanical when looking out toward the horizon. Unfortunately, this significantly detracts from one of the best parts of the route – the Pier Head and Pier running section.

Again, great short route – its easy to pick up and complete a route any time of day. Keep up the great work – would love to see more routes like the Island Line!

~ csharrett89

Pros:
1. 483 model is great, a lot better than the TS one. 2. You can press a few buttons on the guard panel of the 483 like lights and doors. 3. Route scenery is pretty nice. 4. NSE livery on 483 is good. 5. Stations look pretty good although a bit clean. 6. The collectibles are good and a few locations are cool. 7. Being a small route FPS is great

Cons:
1. Currently a bug where the timetable will not give you any scheduled time to stop at a stop so you don’t earn enough points to get a gold medal. 2. Sounds were recorded from the 483 however were stretched so they completely ruin the recording and make the train sound like trash. 3. There are no run sounds on the 483 or at least none I can hear. 4. The water below Ryde Pier is questionable. 5. No red livery for the 483 although I managed to make a branded SWR livery with a few hours work in livery designer. 6. The door animations on the 483 are very bad (they just close really fast). 7. Classic sound bug where the game will sound like you are falling out of a plane when standing up while train is in motion. 8. AI doesn’t drive with lights on

Overall I give this route a 7/10 although there are loads of issues I think it is still a lovely route to have a quick drive. I have had so far a great time playing with this route even with all the bugs. If you are not bothered by a few busg here and there then I recommend this route. Although $25 is a bit steep if you really want this route then get it and a sale won’t be for a bit.

EDIT: I have no idea why it says I have zero hours on this route, lol. I have played this route a lot so…

About this Product

Famed for its natural beauty and historical importance, the picturesque Linke Rheinstrecke and Mainbahn come together as one in Train Simulator’s Frankfurt – Koblenz route!

The West Rhine Railway, or Linke Rheinstrecke, dates back to the 1840s as a gradual effort to link Köln, Bonn and Koblenz to Mainz, with the southern section between Koblenz and Mainz opening in the late 1850s. This line is well known for running along the left bank of the Rhein.

The Main Railway, or Mainbahn, was built following the completion of the Rhein-Main-Bahn which connected Mainz to Aschaffenburg. This new line was to branch off at Bischofsheim and continue along the Rhein, eventually reaching Frankfurt am Main, and was built in less than 2 years, opening in January 1863.

Combined, the Linke Rheinstrecke and Mainbahn offered a direct route from Köln to Frankfurt, and until the eventual opening of the highspeed line, made it one of the busiest lines in all of Germany. Even in recent history it remains important however, with a station built to serve Frankfurt Airport in 1972, followed by Gateway Gardens station which opened in 2019. Both of these stations are reached by means of an underground tunnel which burrows itself under the terminals of the Airport.

The lines are served by a mix of regional and intercity traffic, although most notably in the past few years, services have been strikingly branded as SÜWEX (Südwest-Express), opting for a base white livery rather than red, and using a fleet of state-of-the-art DB BR 429.1 EMUs.

Like this Addon a lot, one of Germany’s most beautyfull lines, highly recommended!!
Great Trains too!

~ Giolones

In one word, indescribable. One absolutely fantastic route that are standing out above 99% of all the routes. The scenery, the stations, platforms, vegetation, rolling stock and the Flirt, all top class with no doubt. Yes there are a few speed errors but will learn where they are, FPS very good with a slight drop at Frankfurt for a very short period but not unbearable. Well I am very impressed with this route and must say well done, really well done DTG, amazing indeed. I want to give this route a 100% but because it is so good I will give 200% with no doubt, don’t even hesitate to buy, you wont regret one bit of it.

About this Product

Winding through the beautiful Alpine Inn valley, the Engadine Line from Rivet Games features the 57 km Swiss meter-gauge railway from Pontresina to Scuol-Tarasp.

Built as the first RhB line to be electrified with single phase alternating current, the metric-gauge line was opened in 1913 to the public – and is now waiting for you to discover it in Train Simulator!

RhB started construction of the core Engadine Line from Bever to Scuol-Tarasp in 1903, taking nearly 10 years to finish the route, because the long tunnels between Guarda and Scuol presented the miners with unexpected challenges. It was the first RhB route to be electrified right from the beginning – and also the test route for the new single-phase alternating current while the route was under construction.

The Engadine (literally “Valley of the Inn people”) line leads North East through the beautiful regions of Upper and Lower Engadine following the Inn river. The first section comprises the Samedan to Pontresina railway which was built as a link between the Albula and the Bernina lines. It follows the wide valleys around Samedan, before climbing steep hills in the narrow valleys between Cinuos-chel-Brail and the endpoint at Scuol-Tarasp.

Included in the route is the iconic RhB GE 6/6 II locomotive in its typical red livery, with which you’ll be challenged in a range of scenarios. Also included are two EW4 passenger coaches, baggage coach, and 2 freight cars with different loadings.

With its iconic stations and infrastructure buildings along a stunningly beautiful route, the Engadine Line is always worth a visit. Climb on board the RhB GE 6/6 II locomotive and start serving the 17 stations along the Engadine Line, waiting for you to master them all!

About this Product

A hard-working classic comes to life in Train Sim World with the stunning DB BR 204 diesel locomotive!

“When this first came out, I enjoyed it, but it didn’t keep me coming back. It’s since been updated, I don’t know why, but now I‘m hooked. The DB204 is an excellent model and is good fun to drive, hurtling down the Spessart Ramp fully loaded is fun! The new long scenario is great and really makes use of the full area. It’s a really enjoyable DLC”
